Family portraits are without doubt the most frequently requested type of portrait sessions asked for by our clients of our professional photographers. The reason for this? Simple really, given within the family we have our longest and often closest relationships with others.

But, a family portrait can be anything you want it to be. Pretty much like the meaning of your family. Every family has their own personal story to tell. Filled with emotion, often conflict, love and closeness, every family's story is unique. And because of that uniqueness and the bespoke way in which we cater to each individual client, we are totally confident that we will produce for you a collection of images tailored specifically to personalities, that will just blow you away. And that you will keep and treasure forever.

To give you an idea of what we mean by providing you with a bespoke portrait service. The following sections give a number of examples of offerings we make. This is not a definitive list is when we say bespoke, we mean totally bespoke to you and what you are looking for.

Not only do we love our work but we love doing it. And that really shows when you come to a studio for a session. Our primary studio is based just outside of Winchester on an old airfield next to chill Bolton Village. Sue you will not have to worry about parking and traffic. There is plenty of space right outside our front door. And, being rural is very peaceful and a lovely place to visit just in itself.

Our sessions are what you want them to be. Yes, we may book an hour slot for your portrait shoot. That doesn't mean that we have to use all of it or be restricted by it. Given we never have back-to-back sessions, there will never be the pressure of cutting something short because the clock says so. The key reason for this, is that small children and toddlers couldn't care less that they have limited time within which mummy and daddy need them to behave. They may be hungry, agitated or just sleepy. So we make sure that we have the time to accommodate them and not make the session feel pressured or like hard work for them. Even if it's just not going to work on the day, whatever the reason, you can just come back and do it another time. At no additional costs whatsoever.

We want the process to be enjoyable for every age group. And, will do everything within our power to make sure that happens. Because without that degree of flexibility, you just will not get the shots you're hoping for. No matter how cross you get.

When you first arrive at our studios, you will find that unlike the traditional studios in the high Street Studios that he may be used to, you will not find unnecessarily expensive furniture, huge plasma screens displaying previous work, or a shop window full of framed images. We are a working studio with the vast bulk of our work being in the commercial and advertising sectors. We rely on our work alone to sell our services and the word-of-mouth of our clients, again based on our work. When you come to our studios, you're not coming simply to have the portrait taken, but to experience the exact same degree of creativity and attention to detail from our photographers that they give to our commercial clients.

So not only do you have access to the same degree of skill and experience from our photographers that you find producing the highly creative advertising material you see day in day out. But that's what you're paying for, not the contemporary expensive surroundings.

This is where we are very different to, we believe, pretty much every other photographer and photography studio out there. Were we say location sessions, the mean of the same standard and equipment level that you'll find in the advertising industry. If need be, we can bring an entire studio, including the lights, backdrops and editing equipment plus if required, the printing equipment to.

Generally speaking, the location shoot this summer pre-special to you and your family or your friends. And generally speaking we will bring a full lighting rig with us. It's the painting with light outside that makes the shots you seen adverts so much different to the shots you may take yourself or have seen my other photographers. We also have a seven seat 4x4 vehicle which can access all but the most extreme of terrains.

Yes, location shoots can be more expensive. But they don't have to be!

We can work with you beforehand to plan the location-based portrait shoot to meet your needs. Both in terms of the images that we produce for you and the budget required to get them.

As a rule of thumb, if the location is within 20 miles of the studio with easy access by road and the setup time is what we would class as normal. Then the cost of location shoot won't really be any different to the cost of a studio shoot.

A significant number of our clients have a least one member of the family who is a keen amateur photographer. And often, will look on in envy during the shoot at all the photographic equipment, editing suites and lighting rigs.

If you have someone like this in your family, make sure you let us know who it is and then we can make sure that during the portrait session, either in a photography studio or out on occasion, that they can have a go with all of our kit as well.

And when they are having a go, we will of course give them our undivided attention and coaching at the same time. I guess you could call it a red letter day bonus.

If you have a number of friends or work colleagues who are also interested in having a portrait session, why not combine it and have it together. Either at our studios or at a location. Given our sessions result in you getting all the images at full resolution on disc, we are really not bothered if you would like to share the time and in turn the cost with others.

We have been known to spend a whole day on location shooting numbers of families - often arranged by and located at a school. Ordinarily, such a duration of a shoot would cost £850+VAT and any brief specific expenses relating to the shoot. But this way, you can have around 15 families having their shoots done in what we would class as a single booking.

This works out to around £70 for each family all inclusive to receive a DVD of all their processed images in both colour and black and white at full resolution for them do print or share electronically as they please. and what's more, if your the organiser of this type and scale of session, yours are free. As far as we are aware, this is unbeatable anywhere else.

Dependant upon the location, we can offer our full studio service as well as reportage photography for any event where you would not only like it recorded at the very highest quality, but also where you would like to make available class leading portrait photographers at your event with full studio, editing and printing facilities available on site.

If it is an event for charity, we are more than happy to sort a split on the monies taken form the sales of the prints and electronic files. Having done such events for the British Heart Foundation and Cancer Research, they are not only a great addition to your event, but also an excellent boost to your fund raising activities. In addition we provide a free studio session which you can raffle or auction off too.
